PE

Butterflies and Dragonflies will have PE on Tuesday.  Send your child to school in their PE kit each Tuesday.  Please ensure your child has PE shoes without laces and no jewellery.  Thank you!

Phonics

Our phonics scheme is Little Wandle. We have been learning the Phase 2 sounds over the Autumn term and will now be learning the Phase 3 sounds during the Spring term.

Here is a copy of the sound mats we will be using in class.

Starter, Rainbow and Rocket Words

To help the children learn to read we have a set of Starter Words which they start learning from sight. Please learn a line at a time. Once you have learnt the line you are on please let the class teacher know.

Who can learn all their starter words?

Once your child has learnt these they will then move onto the Rainbow and Rocket words. These are all the tricky words taught in Phase 2 and 3 Phonics. Please learn these a line at a time. Once you have learnt the line you are on please let the class teacher know.
