KINGFISHERS AND SWANS SUMMER CONTEXT
Kingfishers summer term context is BESIDE THE SEASIDE! We will be learning about everything there is to know about the seaside! In science we will be learning about sea creatures, floating and sinking and living and non living, we will also look at animal food chains. We will create shell collages in art and look at the artist Natalie Pascoe. We will be making clay boats and in history we will be looking a past and present transport. In geography we will be naming physical features of the seaside and key human features. This learning will of course include lots of exciting trips, including London Bridge, Beddington Park and Crystal Palace park to name a few. An exciting term ahead!
Welcome to Spring term in Swans! Our context this term is ‘A force to be reckoned with” where we will be learning about forces through fun and exciting science experiments! In geography we will learning about features of a river. In English, we will also be studying the picture book “The Rhythm of the rain” about a boy called Issac who travels along the river to the ocean following his jar of water. All of this learning will be supported by lots of trips including Beddington Park and Thames Explorer. A fun term ahead!
