Welcome to Kingfishers and Swans!
Kingfishers and Swans Autumn Context
Kingfishers context for the Autumn term is Me Me Me.
We will be learning all about ourselves and our families.
We will discuss what makes us individual and special.
We will also be learning all about our senses.
As always we have planned some exciting trips such as Kidspace, Nonsuch park, Sutton Ecology centre, Morrisons and Croydon library!
In Swans we have an exciting term ahead filled with lots of fun learning. This starts with a trip to Coombe Woods where the children will experience how to build a shelter like the Stone Age people.
Later in the term we will then be visiting Buster Farm to see Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron age houses. In Science, we will studying light and shadows moving onto electrical circuits.
In Art, we will be developing our sketching skills
Where the final art piece will be a cave drawing with animals and scenes of hunting and foraging.
In Music we will be starting to learn how to play the recorder.
Kingfishers went on a Spring walk in Beddington Park!
Pirate day! Kingfishers had so much fun completing a treasure hunt at Hackbridge pirate ship to celebrate our pirate day. We completed lots of fun pirate themed activities throughout the day!
Kingfishers and Swans had a great time visiting the theatre to see The Wizard of Oz. We had great seats right near the front!
Kingfishers had a great day at Grove park feeding the ducks and spotting wildlife :)
Kingfishers had so much fun at Dougie's Play Cafe!
