Context 1 - Autumn and Spring
In our first half of the year, Year 4 will be exploring the context of
'Water World'.
We will be learning about:
- map work (paper and digital); coastal features (Geography)
- states of matter; earth and space (Science)
- Community (RE)
- Colour(Art)
- Boats (DT)

P.E.
Year 4 will have P.E. on Monday (class teacher) and Wednesday (sports coach).
Please come to school already dressed in your full P.E. kit on these days.
Daily Reading
Please read with your child every day (for at least 10 minutes) and sign their reading record. This will be checked on a daily basis.

Home Learning
Every Friday children will receive their times tables and spelling homework to complete and return the following Thursday ready for their weekly tests.
Every week, children need to spend a minimum of 20 minutes on additional math and literacy learning. This is part of their weekly homework.
You can use these programs to help with developing your child's mathematical and reading skills.
