Hello Dragonflies and Butterflies!
Welcome back to home learning. We hope you had a great Easter Holiday and stayed safe.
Hopefully you feel rested and ready to continue your learning at home.
We have heard from some families but not everyone.
We would love to hear from more of our Reception children and families.
Children were sent home with their own email and login and we are re-sending these via text message.This email can be used by the children to send us work/pictures of what they have been up to. We will give weekly feedback on any work we receive.

Summer 2 Week 5
Summer Term Home Learning
This week we welcome back some of our Reception children. For those of you who are continuing your learning from home, we will be completing the same books and writing tasks as the children in school. The stories we will be exploring this week are 'Smile Crocodile Smile' and 'Alan's Big Scary Teeth'.
We will continue the White Rose Maths. There are lots of lovely activities based on the story Zog. Please click on the picture below to hear the story. Have a fab week of learning everyone!
This week is Virtual Sports week. The PE team have worked hard to plan lots of fun activities that the children can participate in at home. The list of activities are below and there is also a score sheet to record your results. Good luck Butterflies and Dragonflies. Don't forget to send in photos of you competing.

Oxford Owl for Home is a bright and colourful website with free resources available to download without registering. Aimed at primary children, they offer activities for reading, English, Mathematics and interactive games. There’s also handy “How to” videos to explain tricky concepts.

Classroom Secrets Kids is offering FREE access to everyone until the end of April 2020. The platform is aimed at primary aged children and covers subjects such as maths, reading, grammar and spelling. The platform is really child-friendly.
National Geographic is a great platform for learning and it’s totally free. There’s online games, resources and competitions too.

Resources to support learning at home
The children are getting very competitive and working really hard to learn their Rainbow Words. Look in your child's yellow reading record to find their words.

In the Early Years the learning that the children do is basing on the their personal interests and needs to ensure every child is challenged.
This half term we have been reading bear books. We have been looking at the books; We are going on a bear hunt, Brown Bear Brown Bear, Peace at Last, Whatever Next and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children have also brought in their own bears and have been teaching them everything that they have already learnt.
The children have enjoyed cooking porridge and making balance scale cakes.
