Joint Professional Development

At Aerodrome teachers take part in Lesson Study annually. This effective joint professional development is highly focussed on listening to pupil voice and acting on it.

Metacognition – ‘Learning to Learn’

EYFS – Role play (deconstructed)

KS1 – Independent learning during GR- focus phonics

SLCN (Kingfishers)- Using focus group teaching to teach word structures

KS2 

Year 3-structures and differentiation in Context sessions (rotation)

Year 4- Challenge in maths (structures)

Year 5- Provision for pupils with SEN (structures)

Year 6- Self reflection during independent learning

EYFS and KS1 – to focus on including Role Play/Dressing up and small world in the study

 

KS2 – 3 subject areas of choice for rotation teaching

(focus group to be English or Science)
